Web Time Entry Instructions for Hourly Employees

Accurately tracking and submitting your hours is essential to ensure timely payroll processing. Here’s what you need to know about clocking in and submitting your timesheet in Workday.

 

Clocking In and Out

You can clock in and out using either the web version or the mobile app of Workday:

  • Web Version:
    Go to the menu in Workday, select the "Time" app, and follow the prompts to clock in and out.

  • Mobile App:
    From the home screen of the Workday mobile app, you can clock in with just a few taps.


Submitting Your Timesheet

To submit your hours:

  1. Open the "Time" app in Workday (web version).
  2. Select the time period you want to view.
  3. Submit your timesheet before 10 a.m. on Monday.

If you don’t submit your timesheet by the deadline, the payroll office will mass-submit it for you. However, it’s your responsibility to ensure your hours are reported accurately and on time.

If you need to adjust your timesheet, contact your timekeeper. To find your timekeeper:

  1. Go to your profile in Workday.
  2. Click the "Job" tab.
  3. Select the "Support Roles" tab and scroll to "Timekeeper" under assignable roles.
